Back in January, the team at Collab Virtual World joined event organisers Telepresent to provide tech support during the event of a lifetime as part of the virtual Democrats Inauguration Gala.
Remote members of the Collab team, who are based across the country in Lincolnshire, Peterborough and Newark, joined more than 2,000 guests for the gala to celebrate the inauguration of Democrat President Joe Biden.
The black-tie Clean Energy for America event saw the quartet of staff spend the evening welcoming guests, troubleshooting minor tech issues, and talking to key Democrats to ensure they were getting the best experience whilst on the platform.
As the evening kicked off state-side it was already 11pm here for the team at Collab, as they arrived into the virtual venues to look after roughly 300 guests in each hall.
Alongside providing tech support, our talented team of graphic designers created a bespoke Democrats Gala venue, which was used throughout the evening to host an inauguration watch party.
Steff Wright, Executive Chairman of Collab, said: “It was a whirlwind working with professional partners both here in the UK and overseas who called on us for support for this once in a lifetime event.
“With more than 2,000 guests in attendance, it just goes to show that anyone can use this software to bring people back together safely, even when they’re separated by geography and lockdown restrictions.
“It was an honour to help out our peers in America, who called on our experienced team to help them deliver a high-quality multi-presentation event and in return we got front row seats to one of the biggest nights in recent history.”
